When The Mandalorian was first released on Disney+, fans fell in love with the character Baby Yoda.

Now there is another baby character, but the new creation hasn’t come from Lucasfilm. Instead, 3D artist Leonardo Viti created a Baby Jabba, inspired by the slug crime lord Jabba the Hutt.

Posting in November 2019 on Instagram, Leonardo captioned the pictures: ‘Sorry guys I could not resist…Baby Jabba! Could this be the new star in @themandalorian? Or maybe someone else…? I’m open to suggestions!’

Fans were divided over the creation, with one person saying ‘He’s such a cutie pie’ while another said ‘Disgusting’.

The Mandalorian has been renewed for a second season on the new streaming service, which was released in the US in November 2019.
