Darcey and Stacey is the latest new TLC reality spinoff show – and this one comes from the hugely popular franchise 90 Day Fiance. Darcey was seen on the Before the 90 Days spin-offs with Jesse, then Tom. Now, though, she is having her journey chronicled alongside twin sister Darcey.
While Darcey is trying to move on in her love life, Stacey has an Albanian fiance called Florian who is heading to the US. The season began on August 16 and there are six episodes of the first instalment available to watch at the time of writing. However, fans are understandably also interested in the twins’ pasts – so we’ve done a little digging.
When it comes to the plastic surgery the pair have engaged in, it’s clear they haven’t even finished going under the knife yet as they have been filmed in their new series going to visit a plastic surgeon. However, according to Screen Rant, Avana Plastic Surgery in Miami showed the pair getting ‘mommy makeovers’.
In an interview, Darcey has said: ‘I started this journey for a mommy makeover and it’s a…transformation just to feel healthy and maintenance for my age.’ Meanwhile, Stacey said: ‘I felt that the tummy tuck was the best route for us at this point in life and I feel great’. In the past, before Darcey flew to England to meet Tom, she went to get some cold laser therapy treatments to get her abs focused on – and then she went to get fillers in her eyes and lips.
The twins remain close to their father, Mike Silva, and while the pair are in their 40s, the parent is still around to provide support. Indeed, the huge house they both live in with Darcey’s daughters was bought by their father – and fans first saw the luxurious property in 90 Day Fiance spin-off episodes. Mike reportedly lives in China for most of the time, and he seems to work there at an engineering, procurement and construction management company.
Finally, it’s clear that the pair don’t just sponge off their dad – they have impressive career histories of their own. While Darcey has been on the reality TV circuit since 2017 with 90 Day Fiance, she was in the entertainment industry prior. For example, she was the co-founder of a movie production company and has also founded a fashion label with her sister. Furthermore, they have also appeared in movies and recorded singles together.
The fashion label is called House of 11, and was started by the pair in 2010. In fact, it has been given attention by big names such as Nicki Minaj and Demi Lovato. Eleventh Entertainment may ring a bell to some – it’s the pair’s movie production company, which is linked to rap comedy White T from 2013. Overall, it’s clear the twins are doing well for themselves – and there are more episodes of Darcey and Stacey to come. Check it out each Sunday on TLC at 10pm ET.
