The trailer for new title Dash and Lily has recently been released on Netflix, and it’s safe to say it’s resulted in its viewers beginning to feel the holiday spirit.
The show, which is based on the novel series Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares, chronicles the tale of two teens who fall in love over the holidays while exchanging a notebook of dreams and dares.
The title is out on November 10, and is classed as a romantic comedy series with a Christmas theme. The two main characters are played by Austin Abrams and Midori Francis.
In a revelation which will prove surprising for many, Nick Jonas is involved in the Netflix project as a producer. Showrunner Joe Tracz has described how he and Jonas bonded over their love of the movie You’ve Got Mail.
The trailer is available to stream on YouTube now, with Tracz telling Bustle: ‘Dash & Lily is a celebration of New York at the holidays. It’s joyful and optimistic and I hope it can be an escape for people, especially right now.
‘But it’s also a story about seeing the world from someone else’s point of view, and looking for the good even when it’s hard. And those are things that I hope can resonate this year, too.’
