There are few who don’t know about the latest drama with WallStreetBets and GameStop, but it looks like we’ll have plenty of streaming options to keep us busy in the future once the actual events are behind us.
Reports online indicate that MGM and Netflix are both planning on creating movies about the topic. Where MGM is concerned, they will be basing the story on a book which hasn’t been written yet.
The author of this book will be Ben Mezrich, who wrote The Accidental Billionaires – and then had it taken on as the 2010 movie The Social Network. Meanwhile, Netflix is reportedly in talks with Mark Boal to get involved with their project.
Boal is known for being the screenwriter and a producer on both Detroit and The Hurt Locker. Furthermore, in a nice twist for those sad about To All The Boys ending with instalment three – a familiar face may be appearing.
Noah Centineo is said to be potentially playing a major role in the movie, although his part has not yet been revealed – most likely because the actual events have not finished in real time yet.
