A new streaming service designed for kids is set to launch on the 15th of April. The Kartoon Channel is a streaming service that is intended just for children. Favorites on the channel will become available to stream and they include Rainbow Rangers and of course Peppa Pig. You also have Minecraft, My Little Pony and Yu Gi Oh. The service is set to feature well over 20,000 titles and this is going to be done in combination with the existing content on the Kartoon Channel. They have gained some titles from the acquisition of Ameba TV. The licensing will give a friendlier level of access to Gummy Bears, Casper the Friendly Ghost and finally, Donkey Kong Country.
So how much is this going to cost? Compared to other subscription services, it would seem that the price is going to be very affordable. The cost is going to be $3.99 a month and it is going to be free from any commercials. If you want to take advantage of the full platform, then you can create a custom avatar and there are also emojis for kids.
Exclusive games are on the platform, and you have the Kidaverse VR goggles too. Podcasts, music, child-safe messaging and more are going to be added to the platform over time. Kidaverse is going to help to revolutionize children’s entertainment, and it is going to include everything that you would expect from a children’s TV channel. It’s going to be child-safe and it is also going to help fill a gap in the industry. Andy Heyward, Genius Brand chairman and CEO, has said that the strongest message they are working from comes from parents. They want the platform to be safe, and that is why they have built all of their content and platform structure with this in mind.
