Many will know Margaret Atwood as the author behind the novel which inspired the wildly popular TV series The Handmaid’s Tale, which was recently followed up by Atwood penning a follow up novel, The Testaments.
A documentary based on the writer’s life will be available on Hulu from November 19. The content is called Margaret Atwood: A Word after a Word After a Word Is Power.
Hulu gained US rights to the feature in October 2019, and the content depicts Atwood and her late partner Graeme Gibson attending events around the world.
It also shows interviews with Elisabeth Moss, star of The Handmaid’s Tale, plus Sarah Polley, Volker Schlondorf and further noted figures. A further interesting feature in the documentary will see Tatiana Maslany reading poetry.
According to film producer White Pine Pictures, the documentary has been sold to eight other foreign territories, including Sky in the UK and HBO in Central Europe.
