Any Marvel fan will know that new streaming service Disney+ is preparing a huge slate of fresh content for the platform.
Now the media giant has released the first teaser trailer and poster for upcoming movie Black Widow, starring Scarlett Johansson.
The movie follows the events of Captain America: Civil War, which came out in 2016. The basic premise is that Natasha Romanoff ‘finds herself alone and forced to confront her past while facing a new threat’.
Scarlett Johansson plays Romanoff, aka the Black Widow. The actress has described the movie as a chance to ‘explore the Widow as a woman who has come into her own and is making choices for herself for once in her life.
‘She is in a dark place. She’s got no one to call and nowhere to go. She’s really grappling with her own self.’
Stranger Things star David Harbour plays Alexei Shostakov, or Red Guardian – a Russian super-soldier who has a history with Romanoff.
Meanwhile, Florence Pugh plays Yelena Belova, O-T Fagbenle is Rick Mason, Rachel Weisz is Melina and Ray Winstone and Oliver Richters are also part of the feature.
