Apple TV+ has released an official trailer for its upcoming series Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet. The comedy, which will make its debut on the new streaming service on February 7, chronicles the journey of a group of video game developers as they run a hugely popular MMO.
The series was developed by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia writers Charlie Day and Rob McElhenney. What’s more, McElhenney will make an appearance as the creative director of the company.
There will be nine episodes in the series, each of which will last half an hour. Stars in the show include F. Murray Abraham, Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim, Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, Ashly Burch, and Jessie Ennis.
The trailer reveals that McElhenney plays Ian Grimm, who comes across as self-centered and out to take all of the credit. His attitude leads to tensions in the studio as employees deal with his massive ego while they try to develop the game.
Grimm also appears to be a central character in the game, believing that his presence is central to both the virtual world of the MMO and the real world of the studio. This will be one of the first comedies to air on Apple TV+, as it joins other titles such as The Morning Show, See, Dickinson, Servant and For All Mankind.
