Despite having fewer titles than other newly launched streaming service Disney Plus, data from Parrot Analytics (via Business Insider) suggests that most of the top 10 streamed shows for Q4 of 2019 came from Apple TV+.
Part of the report reads: ‘While the mega-hits The Witcher and The Mandalorian topped the list, the prevalence of Apple’s shows is notable.’
Netflix and Disney Plus both achieved huge success in the quarter with The Witcher and The Mandalorian respectively. The full list is as follows:
- The Witcher (Netflix)
- The Mandalorian (Disney Plus)
- Harley Quinn (DC Universe)
- Truth Be Told (Apple TV Plus)
- Servant (Apple TV Plus)
- See (Apple TV Plus)
- For All Mankind (Apple TV Plus)
- Raising Dion (Netflix)
- Dickinson (Apple TV Plus)
- The Morning Show (Apple TV Plus)
The list may come as a surprise due to the fact that The Morning Show was one of the most heavily promoted offerings ahead of Apple TV+ launching in November 2019.
However, it’s at the bottom of the list, while Truth Be Told – a series which came out after the service was launched and was not as well advertised – is the most popular Apple TV+ title.
