Plenty of Lord of the Rings fans are eagerly awaiting the TV series on Amazon Prime Video, and there is now news on the cast front.
According to reports, Ema Horvath has joined the series and will play a regular character. Others already on the roster include Will Poulter, Markella Kavenagh and Joseph Mawle.
Ema is known for her appearance in psychological horror Like. Share. Follow, which came out back in 2017. The star will also appear in sci-fi drama Don’t Look Deeper.
Despite not even being in pre-production, Lord of the Rings has been renewed for a second season by Amazon Prime Video. The streamer confirmed to Deadline that the show will go on hiatus for roughly four months after filming the first two season one episodes.
Amazon has confirmed some details about what fans can expect with the fantasy prequel. For example, it will be set in the Second Age of Middle Earth, and won’t follow the story seen in the films by Peter Jackson.
