HBO Max has created a production unit as the result of a partnership with Warner Bros Picture Group.
The new unit is called Warner Max and has been made to create streaming movies. The current target is the creation of between 8 and 10 movies for the streaming service, with each one described as ‘mid budget’.
Once the titles have been created, Warner Bros will distribute them in locations where HBO Max isn’t available.
HBO Max comes out in May 2020, with the price set at $14.99 per month. Excitement is mounting for the return of Friends, which the company paid $425 million for the rights to.
Another highly anticipated title is an hour-long Friends reunion special, which the entire original cast have recently agreed to.
