Netflix has landed an all-star cast for its animated series Masters of the Universe: Revelation, produced by Mattel Television.
To be precise, the series – created by Kevin Smith – will star Lena Headey, Chris Wood and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
What’s more, Mark Hamill is playing the role of Skeletor – the super villain of the show. Headey is by his side as Evil Lyn, while Wood is Prince Adam/He-Man. Gellar plays Teela and Liam Cunningham is Man-at-Arms.
The Hollywood Reporter has stated that ‘The series will focus on the unresolved storylines of the iconic characters in the He-Man universe, picking up where they left off decades ago.’
Other stars in the series include Stephen Root, Alicia Silverstone, Justin Long Cree Summer and many more. Further cast details and a release date have yet to be announced.
Despite competition from Apple TV+ and Disney Plus, Netflix has recently announced a 20 percent increase in global subscribers and over 100 million international subscribers for the first time.
