Upcoming streaming service HBO Max is launching four new stand up comedy specials. The originals will feature Rose Matafeo, Ahir Shah, Tracy Morgan and John Early.
The service, owned by WarnerMedia, is clearly working to develop a solid slate of comedy ahead of its debut.
Suzanna Makkos, HBO Max’s executive vice president of original programming, said: ‘We are incredibly proud to showcase this expansive range of comedic talent on HBO MAX.
‘From legends to newcomers, this impressive slate of specials will complement the library of premium stand-up specials that HBO has become known for.’
Matafeo is creating her first comedy special following Starstruck, a title which is written, created by and starring herself.
Morgan is executive producing his first one-hour television special with the help of A24. He has a TBS show called The Last OG which comes back in 2020 for a third season.
