OG streaming service Netflix has made history by landing a best picture nomination at the Golden Globes.
To be precise, the platform has landed 17 nominations in total, which includes four for best picture.
The drama category saw Marriage Story, The Two Popes and The Irishman put forward. Meanwhile, Dolemite is my Name received one in the musical or comedy category.
Netflix is in first place in terms of nominations for a streaming service, while HBO is just behind with 15.
The nominations reflect a changing landscape in the world of Hollywood, as the Netflix films received a much shorter theatrical window than traditional titles.
The Politician, Unbelievable, Russian Doll and The Crown also received nods, but surprisingly When They See Us and Ozark were not given any recognition.
The latter two series were nominated in the Emmys and took home trophies for the streaming platform.
