After months of rumours and speculation, it has finally been revealed that a Friends reunion special is officially heading to upcoming streaming service HBO Max.
The reunion will feature all of the main cast stars – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.
The NBC sitcom originally aired for 10 seasons and proved to be one of the most popular shows of all time. It has been a hit on Netflix, but will be on HBO Max from May.
Kevin Reilly, chief content officer for HBO Max, said ‘Guess you could call this the one where they all got back together.’
He said the show is a hit ‘with viewers generation after generation. It taps into an era when friends – and audiences – gathered together in real time and we think this reunion special will capture that spirit, uniting original and new fans.’
