The new tournament is part of a five year deal Amazon Prime has with the ATP, which grants them live and exclusive coverage of ATP Tour events.
The ATP Cup is an annual team competition which features 24 countries. It takes place across Brisbane, Sydney and Perth over the course of 10 days, building up to the Australian Open. The total prize pool is AUS $22m.
One of the first games, taking place on Friday 3 January 2020, will see Great Britain face off against Bulgaria. The match will take place in Sydney.
The ATP World Team Cup was held in Düsseldorf between 1978 and 2012. Now, the inaugural ATP tournament will be hosted by three key Australian cities. Furthermore, Sydney will be the host of the finals for the first three events between 2020 and 2022.
