Apple TV+ launched worldwide on November 1, and brought with it new original shows such as See and The Morning Show.
Now Apple has revealed a featurette which gives subscribers a teaser of what to expect with upcoming show Truth Be Told.
The show, which stars Aaron Paul and Octavia Spencer, sees a podcaster called Poppy Parnell attempt to reopen a murder case which she helped to solve – subsequently causing Warren Cave to be put in prison.
However, after new evidence emerges, Parnell ends up meeting Cave and realising she may have been responsible for mistakenly putting him behind bars.
The show is based on Kathleen Barber’s novel, and sheds a light on the obsession Americans have with true crime podcasts. It encourages viewers to consider potential consequences when justice is pursued in a public environment.
