It has been reported that Billie Eilish will land a $25 million cheque from Apple after negotiations with the tech giant’s streaming service for a documentary.
The film has already been completed, and was directed by RJ Cutler. Produced as a collaboration with Elish’s label Interscope Records, the budget has been estimated by a source to be between $1 million and $2 million.
The director was given access to Eilish’s private life and never before seen scenes, such as time with her family and behind the scenes at various public appearances.
The documentary was advertised to a number of distributors, but it seems the fit is good with Apple in the aftermath of the artist being named Apple Music’s artist of the year.
She is also set to headline at the Apple Music Awards at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino, California.
