Those who have been keeping up to date with Disney+ content announcements will no doubt be aware of the upcoming Marvel Studios series, Moon Knight, which will air on the platform.
Now new details are emerging about the show. For example, filming will begin in April 2020 at the Pinewood Studios in London. While we don’t have any information about a release date, rumours are circulating about who will star in the series.
Full Circle Cinema have reported that Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is being considered for the main role. As Marvel were seeking a Jewish actor for the role, according to reports from earlier in the year, Radcliffe would fit the bill.
The title character gained his powers after being visited by the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. The phases of the moon dictate the levels of enhanced strength, endurance and reflexes the Moon Knight experiences. Downsides of this character include a tendency towards amoral decisions and multiple personality struggles.
Radcliffe has appeared in a number of TV shows since starring in the Harry Potter franchise, which spanned eight movies. Other work from this actor includes Miracle Workers and A Young Doctor’s Notebook. Jeremy Slater is the main writer for the new series, with notable previous work including Netflix show The Umbrella Academy.
