Reports are in that upcoming streaming service HBO Max could be working on a Pokemon live-action series.
According to We Got This Covered, HBO has assigned ‘considerable resources’ to the venture, which will be based on the classic anime.
The original show stars Ash Ketchum and his Pokemon Pikachu as they travel around taking on Gym instructors to become a Pokemon Master.
It is said that Ash’s companions Brock and Misty will also feature in the live action series, following Ash on his journey like they do in the original.
With Detective Pikachu emerging as a smash hit with theatre visitors, it comes as no surprise that HBO Max would see the potential in such a project.
