Those who are up to date with industry news will no doubt be aware that YouTube TV has dropped the channels which are owned by Disney. These are the Disney Channel, ESPN and ABC. To compensate, the price of this service is dropping by $15.
If you were relying on access to these channels via YouTube TV, you may be willing to swap the $15 you were paying before to get the Disney Plus bundle instead. However, before making your purchase you will likely be wondering if this alternative is worth it.
Currently, the Disney Bundle is $13.99 a month if you want to access Hulu with Limited Commercials. Alternatively, you will be paying $19.99 for Hulu without ads.
To break it down, instead of accessing the Disney Channel, you would have Disney+ instead. Whereas you previously accessed a linear viewing schedule, now you would have access to an entire library of content available to stream on demand.
Sports fans may not consider ESPN+ to be the best alternative to the ESPN and ESPN2 networks. This is because the streaming service provides very little of the content available on these networks. For example, College Bowl games available on ABC and ESPN games will not be available on ESPN+, and you would have to get an antenna instead.
Finally, Hulu is included in the Disney Bundle, so while you would not get live access to your favourite ABC shows, they would mostly be available for streaming the following day. For example, you would be able to stream The Bachelor, as well as shows from NBC, Fox, Bravo, HGTV, FX, FXM, FXX and USA Network on demand.
