Hit animated series and Avatar: The Last Airbender sequel Avatar: The Legend of Korra is arriving to Netflix this August. All four seasons of the show will hit the streaming service on the 14th.
The series takes place 70 years after Avatar and focuses on main character Korra as she trains to become a master of bending all four elements: earth, fire, water and air. It follows a new set of characters, but fan favorites from the Avatar series like Zuko and Toph also make appearances.
While you wait for August 14th, you can stream Avatar in its entirety on Netflix. The show sees Aang – the Avatar capable of bending all four elements – and his friends attempt to end the destructive war brought by the Fire Nation.
Netflix also announced they would produce a live-action version of Avatar back in 2018. The remake was originally set to be released this year, but as the coronavirus pandemic continues to cause disruption across the entertainment industry, 2021 seems a more likely release date. The creators of Avatar, Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, will return as executive producers and showrunners.
You can watch Avatar now with Netflix’s 30 day free trial, or check out Amazon Prime Video for thousands of movies and TV shows – including kids’ shows like SpongeBob SquarePants. Why not try an Amazon Prime Video 30 day free trial now to get streaming hours of content?
