With a new year comes a new bank of content to get stuck into, and Netflix is delivering for 2020. There will be plenty of movies and TV shows on the platform, with highlights over the year including hit series such as BoJack Horseman and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina coming back.
What’s more, there will be new movies and shows to enjoy – so here is a taster of what to expect in January 2020. First of all, there’s a new thriller coming out on New Year’s Day called Messiah, which is about a man who generates a following with the belief he is a divine being. You can also expect an ice skating drama called Spinning Out, starring Kaya Scodelario and January Jones.
On January 3rd the third and final season of Anne with an E will become available to stream, and on the 8th you will find Cheer Documentary, following the cheerleaders of Navarro College as they head for the National Championships.
On January 10th RuPaul makes his debut in AJ and the Queen as a drag queen who teams up with an orphan she finds during her journey to reclaim the money which was taken. Then there will be the sixth season of Grace and Frankie on January 15th – the series exploring the lives of two women forced to live together after their husbands get married.
From January 17th you will be able to watch season 2 of Sex Education, where a teenager called Otis sets up a sex clinic at his school. On the 24th there will be the return of the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, a supernatural series focusing on the life of a teenage witch. There will also be season four of The Ranch, starring Ashton Kutcher.
On 31st January the long-awaited final season of BoJack Horseman will become available – which tells the tale of a humanoid horse who was a child star and has since come to struggle with addiction.
