Netflix has revealed data showing which of its programming was the most popular, and we now know that Murder Mystery has landed in the top slot for 2019. Starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, the movie was watched by over 30 million people in the first three days of its June debut.
In second place was Stranger Things season three, which dropped on the platform in July. Third place is 6 Underground from Michael Bay, which made its debut in December and stars Ryan Reynolds.
The data released has been broken down into categories such as stand-up specials, films and US scripted series. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that popularity is measured by the streaming service based on the number of subscribers who watched at least two minutes of a movie or TV show within the first 28 days of its release.
