Netflix has released a trailer for chilling new series The Confession Killer, which explores a story that’s both terrifying and confusing.
The show takes a look at the case of Henry Lee Lucas, who was convicted of his mother’s murder in 1960. This was followed by two more murder convictions in 1983.
The story begins to get confusing around this time, when Lucas began announcing that he’d killed hundreds of other people.
Texas Rangers were assigned to Lucas, and the killer said he’d committed murder at random intervals over an eight year timeframe.
However, the murders were all unconnected, and people began to be sceptical of the confessions.
The upcoming series explores what happened during the investigation, as well as the way Lucas seemed to embrace the case as it became more and more famous.
The Confession Killer is released on December 6 on Netflix.
