For a while now, a Netflix feature many were quick to complain about was the autoplay function.
This feature automatically played clips of a selected show or movie while subscribers were browsing for something to watch.
Fortunately, Netflix has now recognised that people can find this feature annoying, and have set up account settings so that it can be disabled.
The good news about this new setting is that it’s incredibly easy to access. The first step is to log into Netflix using a web browser.
Then, go to the drop down menu located in the top right corner and click on Manage profiles.
From there, select the profile you want to adjust and navigate to the Autoplay controls section. This is a new section, located below the language and content settings.
There will be a box you can tick or untick for the option to ‘Auto-play next episode in a series on all devices’, and another for ‘Auto-play previews while browsing on all devices’.
After hitting the Save button, these settings should be effective immediately.
