Quibi is a mobile streaming platform comprising short-form content launching on April 6.
The service will initially have 175 originals and 8500 ‘quick bites’ over the course of its first year in operation.
Three content categories will divide up the titles – Movies in Chapters, Unscripted Shows-Docs and Daily Essentials.
Movies in Chapters will be episodes lasting between seven and ten minutes. Unscripted Shows-Docs span comedy, documentaries, sports, music and more. Finally, Daily Essentials are ‘bites’ of news, entertainment and inspiration lasting between five and six minutes.
Here are some of the most hotly anticipated titles coming to the platform.
Chrissy’s Court – Chrissy Tiegen hosts a show where each episode sees a new small claims case. Chrissy’s mom is the bailiff, Pepper Thai, and she oversees the order in the courtroom.
Punk’d – The classic MTV show receives a reboot with Chance the Rapper as the host. Hollywood stars will get pranked in each episode. Jason Goldberg is executive producer.
Thanks a Million – Jennifer Lopez executive produces this show, which sees public figures gift $100,000 to someone who must then pay it forward. Episodes will be led by Lopez, Nick Jonas, Kevin Hart, Karlie Kloss, Anthony Davis, Gabriel Iglesias, Yara Shahidi, Tracy Morgan and Kristen Bell.
Skrrt with Offset – Major rap stars feature in this show with Kiari ‘Offset’ Cephus. The host owns over 30 sports and luxury cars and looks into the automobiles with friends including Quavo, Migos, T-Pain, Chance the Rapper, Cardi B, Dapper Dan, Jay Leno and Lil Yachty.
Murder House Flip – A home renovation show where homes known for mysterious murders are made over by Mikel Welch and Joelle Uzyel.
The Sauce – Ayo & Teyo look at dance cultures across the US and source the best online talent so they can compete against each other for a cash prize. Usher will be both the judge and executive producer.
Elba v Block – Idris Elba and Ken Block compete against each other to see who is the best driver with the best car by carrying out some outrageous stunts.
Last Night’s Late Night – A recap of late-night television the next day from Entertainment Weekly, hosted by Heather Gardner.
The Daily Chill – Focused on calmness, each episode uses ASMR to bring about a state of peace in its viewers.
