After a long wait, the much-anticipated Star Wars: The Last Jedi feature is now available on Disney Plus. This means that the first eight chapters of The Skywalker Saga are now available to stream on the new platform.
Fans were disappointed to discover that the movie wasn’t available when the new service launched in November. However, it can now be accessed along with the entire original trilogy, plus the prequel trilogy and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The deal Netflix had to exclusively stream the feature ended recently, and clearly Disney wasted no time in taking it back and uploading it to their own platform. Those who are die-hard Star Wars fans will know that two feature films are missing – Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Solo: A Star Wars Story. The former is still in theaters, while the latter is streaming on Netflix still.
The good news is that, once The Rise of Skywalker has had its time on the big screen and Solo has had its licensing deal with Netflix expire, the two will no doubt quickly jump over to the streaming platform. In fact, you can expect The Rise of Skywalker to be streaming along with the rest of the titles in the franchise from July 9, 2020.
