Soon after production resumed on The Batman following a pandemic-induced shutdown, production was once again forced to halt after a member of the production tested positive for COVID-19.
Warner Bros. have not confirmed the identity of the person in question, but unnamed sources are said to have confirmed that Robert Pattinson is the production member who tested positive. Pattinson stars in the movie as Batman.
A Warner Bros. spokesperson said: ‘A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused’.
On September 4th, production reportedly resumed without Pattinson.
The Batman is set to be released in October 2021. A trailer for the movie was released at the virtual convention DC Fandome in August.
