A surprise twist in season 5 episode 2 of Greenleaf is bad news for fans of Basie Skanks.
Season 5 explores the fallout of the Greenleaf family losing their Memphis megachurch to Bob Whitmore. Basie, played by Jason Dirden, is a major antagonist to the Greenleaf family.
When Jacob discovers that Darryl James was set to inherit from Mrs. Davis’ will, he sets out to find Basie, Darryl’s son. But when he sees Tasha, she drops a bombshell: Basie is dead.
This shock twist could have big implications for the rest of the season, which is set to be Greenleaf’s last.
