Fans of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) may be impatiently waiting for DC FanDome next month, but until then there’s another online DC convention starting Saturday (July 25th) that can be streamed totally free.
Since the theatrical release of Justice League in 2017, underwhelmed fans have been campaigning for the ‘Snyder Cut’ – director Zack Snyder’s original version of the film – to be released. In May 2020, Snyder announced that his cut was finally going to see the light of day. Following the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign, Zack Snyder’s Justice League will hit HBO Max sometime in the first half of 2021.
Fans have once again shown their support for Snyder with this weekend’s Justice Con. Completely fan-organized, the convention promises appearances not only from Snyder himself but also Snyder’s wife and collaborator Deborah Snyder, Justice League cast members Ray Fisher (Cyborg) and Ray Porter (Darkseid), cinematographer Fabien Wagner and storyboard artist Jay Olivia.
Snyder has teased not only a clip of his cut of Justice League, but also another, more mysterious announcement ‘just for the fans’ at the con. To make sure you don’t miss the big reveals, tune into Justice Con’s official YouTube channel over the weekend. The con starts at 10:30 am ET Saturday. For the full schedule, check out Justice Con’s website.
