While it was announced back in 2019, fans are still eagerly awaiting the release of Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney Plus.

When will Obi-Wan Kenobi come out on Disney Plus?
While there is not a confirmed release date yet, Ewan McGregor revealed in October 2020 that filming would begin in March 2021.
The season will comprise six episodes, making it a limited series. Fans have speculated that the show will be out in either late 2021 or early 2022.

While there are currently no plans for another season, it makes sense to have an Obi-Wan Kenobi season two on Disney Plus if the Star Wars show does well in its first round.

What we know so far is that the series is set 8 to 10 years after the events which went down in Revenge of the Sith, and 11 years before A New Hope.
This means that the setting is the era where the Jedi Order is practically non-existent.
We also know that tension is set to go down between Kenobi and Darth Vader, with McGregor saying ‘Those two will have another swing at each other’.
Further hints from McGregor include the fact Kenobi will be older – and hopefully wiser – as he himself is now closer in age to Alec Guinness, the first actor to play Kenobi.
He told Graham Norton in October 2020: ‘It’s the Obi-Wan Kenobi story…it’s not all [about] me, but it certainly will be a lot of me.’

The latest news is that Hayden Christensen will be returning as Darth Vader for the series, which Ewan McGregor described as ‘the most beautiful thing of all’.
The news was revealed in a featurette about the show which was played during the Disney Investor Day.
Apart from this casting, the only other confirmed actor is McGregor in the title role.
