Back in November 2020, fans of Assassin’s Creed were thrilled at the news that Netflix was planning a live action TV series in partnership with Ubisoft.
There are currently scant details available, but we do know that Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik from Ubisoft will be executive producers for the series.
What’s more, there are a number of other related projects in the pipeline, such as an animated series – so this won’t be the last we see from the gaming world.
Jason Altman, head of Ubisoft Film & Television in Los Angeles, said: ‘For more than 10 years, millions of fans around the world have helped shape the Assassin’s Creed brand into an iconic franchise.
‘We’re thrilled to create an Assassin’s Creed series with Netflix, and we look forward to developing the next saga in the Assassin’s Creed universe.’
Currently, industry insiders are projecting that the show could be released in either late 2021 or at some point in 2022.
