Today is a joyous day for fans of How I Met Your Mother, as season 1 through 9 have become available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
For those new to the show, it focuses on how Ted realises he must find true love – and fast – after his friend Marshall reveals he is about to propose to his girlfriend.
He is helped by a friend called Barney, and believes he has found the one in Robin, but their relationship simmers down into friendship.
On the night of her wedding to another man, Ted meets Tracy, who becomes his wife. They settle down and have two children.
However, when Ted is single again in the future – with the series ending in 2030 – his kids encourage him to date Robin again.
There is an alternate ending on the DVD exclusive, where Tracy and Ted remain happily married.
