When Disney Plus made its debut in November, there were a number of series which also went live – notably The Mandalorian. However, fans knew there would be a wait before some other titles would drop – but now a new preview video has revealed that the wait time has been reduced significantly for WandaVision.
Originally announced to be coming out in 2021, the upcoming series is now going to be released in 2020, according to a video from the streaming platform which summarises all of the content coming up for the year. The trailer sped through all of the new titles fans can expect, whipping up excitement and anticipation for the next 12 months.
The series stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as Scarlet Witch and Vision, and will comprise six episodes lasting between 30 and 60 minutes each. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has described the show as a mixture of classic sitcom and Marvel epic, while Olsen has revealed that there were talks surrounding the use of a laugh track.
When the show does come out, there will be one episode released per week instead of an entire season drop. In this sense, fans will be able to tune in regularly as they did for The Mandalorian.
Other cast members to expect include Kat Dennings and Randall Park, who will reprise the roles of Darcy Lewis and Agent Jimmy Woo.
