It’s safe to say that one of the series people have been most excited about seeing on new streaming service Disney Plus is the Lizzie McGuire reboot, starring Hilary Duff in her original role alongside many other classic characters.
Now Disney has treated us to a snapshot of footage we can expect to see when the series launches, as a tweet shared on January 1 reveals a compilation video highlighting all of the new content set to drop on the platform this year.
In the tweet, Disney Plus said: ‘Is this not what 2020 vision means? From #ToyStory 4 and Aladdin to #LizzieMcGuire and WandaVision, here’s a look into our future at the blockbusters and Originals coming to #DisneyPlus this year.’
Eagle-eyed viewers will have seen Hilary Duff as Lizzie, dressed in a yellow blazer and saying ‘Hi, it’s me,’ as she leans into a car with an unknown person sitting inside. Other shows teased in the video include Toy Story 4, The Lion King, Aladdin and The Mandalorian.
Previous teasers of the new Lizzie McGuire series include a photo of the entire McGuire family standing inside the set of their house, plus a photo of Hilary dressed in the same yellow blazer as she carries an alpaca-shaped stuffed animal through the streets of New York City.
