Netflix series You has proven highly successful on the streaming platform, and now it has been renewed for a third season.
The second series was released on December 26, and resulted in a worldwide trend on Twitter as people flocked to the platform to watch it.
The next season will be 10 episodes long, and make its debut on Netflix in 2021. The latest series is in fifth place on Netflix’s list of the top 10 most popular series on its platform for 2019.
Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti will take on executive producer roles again for the new season, with Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti also confirmed as returning cast members.
The second season sees the main character, Joe, move from New York to Los Angeles to start again after a heavy relationship which ended with tragic consequences. However, he falls in love with a new woman and it remains to be seen whether Joe will repeat his old mistakes.
Lifetime was the original company to order You in July 2018, but it found a new home on Netflix after being renewed for a second season. The series is produced by Berlanti Productions and Alloy Entertainment with Warner Horizon Scripted Television.
