Expectations around the new Star Wars TV series have been sent sky high following the debut of The Mandalorian season one, which resulted in astounding popularity and millions of people falling in love with Baby Yoda.
Now, not only is there a second season of The Mandalorian coming up on Disney Plus, two other series are in the works – a show based on Cassian Andor, and another starring Obi-Wan Kenobi.
With the latter, there’s a little bad news, as production has reportedly been delayed after the scripts weren’t up to scratch.
Reports say that, when the scripts for the new series were submitted, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy didn’t deem them good enough to send through for production.
Instead, the writing staff have received the scripts back so they can improve them, and the crew assembled at Pinewood Studios in London has been informed that pre-production has been placed on hold.
A premiere date for Star Wars: Obi-Wan had not been announced yet, but the news may be a blow to fans impatiently waiting for the show.
