The platform disappeared a few years ago, but now it has returned as the number of people quarantining for coronavirus increases.
Popcorn Time was first released in 2014, and it was subject to criticism as it uses the same BitTorrent technology as people who torrent content use.
The Popcorn Time Twitter posted an update, saying ‘Love in the Time of Corona Version 0.4 is out’.
The platform is a popular option for people who want to access films which are either not in theatres or not available on streaming services.
