The latest episode of CBS 60 Minutes is airing tonight, October 25 2020. The show will be more hotly anticipated than usual as it features footage from President Trump’s interview with Lesley Stahl.
The interview was released by the Trump administration three days ahead of the Sunday airing, with clips of Stahl asking Trump about his response to the pandemic, the economy and claims that his campaign was subject to spying from the Obama administration.
The President left the interview early and had threatened to release the White House’s own recording, saying on Twitter and Facebook alongside a clip of it that people should look at ‘the bias, hatred and rudeness on behalf of 60 Minutes and CBS’.
In the episode, which is airing today at 7:30pm ET, there will also be an interview with Democratic opponent Joe Biden. Responding to Trump’s move to release the footage early, CBS said the decision was ‘unprecedented’ and a breach of his agreement with the White House.
