A Beauty and the Beast prequel is coming to Disney Plus. Based on the live-action remake, the show will focus on Gaston and LeFou.
The Hollywood Reporter states that Luke Evans and Josh Gad will be returning to their roles as the characters.
As for the show itself, it is reportedly a musical comprising six episodes set before the movie’s events take place.
Composer Alan Menken is rumoured to be involved in the project. Notably, he composed the music for the 1991 animated film and the remake.
While only Gad and Evans have confirmed roles, fans will be hoping Dan Stevens returns as the Beast and Emma Watson reprises her role as Belle.
