A new dramedy called Good Vibes is being developed for upcoming streaming service HBO Max.
The show comes from Steve and Jim Armogida – who were developers and executive producers on School of Rock – John Stamos and Kapital Entertainment.
It is described as a coming of age story with music from The Beach Boys as the background.
The central focus is a group of foster kids who form a band to escape their humdrum lives of school in a boring town.
They become Insta-famous and realise they have become what they wanted all along – a real family.
Stamos said: ‘Good Vibes Only is a pet project of mine that I’ve been working on for a long time. It’s been my mission to introduce a younger generation to the Beach Boys songs. Their music and message is needed now more than ever and this series is a perfect vehicle.’
