NBCUniversal’s new streaming service Peacock launched July 15th. There are hours of TV shows and movies to enjoy, with the Premium tiers offering almost double the amount of content as the standard free plan. From new original TV show Brave New World, the highly anticipated Psych: Lassie Come Home movie to classics like 30 Rock, there’s no shortage of content to stream on Peacock.
But can you watch Peacock on your Amazon Fire Stick?
Unfortunately, Amazon and Comcast weren’t able to reach an agreement in time for Peacock’s launch. The good news is it’s still possible to use your Fire Stick to stream Peacock on your TV, but through a third party app.
Just sign up for Peacock on your phone – making use of the special three month free trial of the Premium version if you have an Android device – and load up your Fire TV. Set your phone and Fire TV to the same Wi-Fi network. Then download a streaming app like TV Cast or AllCast to your Fire TV. Start watching something on your Peacock app, then hit the Google Cast icon in the top right corner of your phone. Select your Fire TV, and whatever you’re watching will display there.
Peacock is available in three tiers – a standard free version, a Premium version for $4.99 a month, and a Premium ad-free version for $9.99 a month.
