Major League Baseball returned to our screens yesterday (July 23rd), and is back again today with the traditional, huge MLB Opening Day. With just three months to go until the World Series, this weekend’s games are can’t-miss.
The Dodgers remain the favorites to win the World Series, but it’s still far too early to call – could the Yankees beat them to the title, or will the Nationals hang on to their world champion status? All eyes are on the shortened MLB season, especially after the coronavirus-induced delay left fan anticipation mounting.
Today and over the weekend, you can catch these games:

- Detroit Tigers vs Cincinnati Reds – 6:10pm ET (MLBN)

Due to the pandemic, this season has new rain delay rules. Usually, if bad weather affected an official game, the game would be restarted at another date. This year, to keep the time players are on the field down, games that don’t reach the official threshold will be halted then picked up where they were left once play can continue. The original rain delay rules remain in place when a game hits the official status.
