Social media was filled with mourning fans on Sunday after the news broke that nine people had died in a helicopter crash that morning, with victims including Los Angeles Lakers player Kobe Bryant and his 13 year old daughter Gianna.
The tragedy led to multiple television networks providing hours of dedicated programming around the life and career of the NBA star.
It was then revealed that ESPN and ABC News would partner up to air a primetime special on Kobe Bryant’s life and legacy.
The hour-long special is titled Kobe Bryant: The Death of a Legend and is hosted by the anchors of Good Morning America, Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan.
It includes interviews with people who knew the star, including fellow basketball players, and further information about the helicopter crash. Some may have missed the premiere, but it is now available to stream on Hulu.
Another feature people can watch is Bryant’s animated film Dear Basketball, which can be streamed on Vimeo. Voiced by Byrant, the feature lasts just over five minutes and sees him speak about how the sport enriched his life during his adolescence and adulthood.
