While Disney Plus is planning, developing and releasing a whole host of original content, a large branch of the excitement centers around the upcoming live-action Marvel Studios series.
Some of the most hotly anticipated features include Loki, WandaVision and Falcon and Winter Soldier. However, a leak from Bleeding Cool has claimed that there are two further, unannounced shows in development.
While one of these shows does not appear to have a title attached to it at present, the other is reportedly called Secret Invasion. The original comic came out in 2007 and focused on shape-shifting aliens called Skrulls.
The addition of this show could shape Marvel Studios films for years to come, as the Skrulls were featured in last year’s Captain Marvel when many characters were unveiled to have been kidnapped and replaced as a quiet alien invasion took place.
It has been confirmed that the series will tie into the main films. For example, WandaVision will have a direct knock-on effect for events in Doctor Strange 2, and fans believe the Loki limited series will lead to the character showing up in future films following its events.
