While excitement for the Friends reunion on HBO Max reached its peak, it soon stalled due to coronavirus-related delays.
However, the good news is that original star Matthew Perry has said the special is now scheduled to begin shooting in March 2021.
This would mean the show’s production begins a year after original plans to get it started with a live audience – which were soon shut down when the coronavirus pandemic hit.
On social media, Perry said: ‘Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March. Looks like we have a busy year coming up. And that’s the way I like it!’
All of the original stars of the much-loved 90s sitcom are appearing in the reunion – Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston.
