Peacock has launched for select customers, giving them the first access to the brand new streaming service from NBCUniversal.

Those who are customers of Xfinity X1 and Flex have had access to the platform at no additional cost from April 15, with the company saying all Comcast customers will have it by the end of the month.

Chairman of Peacock, Matt Strauss, said that the company is continually assessing making its launch earlier. Its original launch date is July 15, on a national level.

The platform has had the production of its original series impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, and while some will come out in July and over the rest of the year, many have been delayed until 2021.

Peacock’s launch will bring with it over 7500 hours of films and TV series, with multiple tiers – including a Premium option for $4.99 a month, and an ad free version for $9.99.
