Ever since the original Lost In Space received a sequel in April 2018, fans and new viewers alike have been hooked with the fresh storyline. Set 30 years in the future, the Robinsons began a new life as part of a space colony along with others in the same boat.
Now season two of the show is available on Netflix. Shot in Iceland and Vancouver, the series depicts the danger the Robinsons find themselves in as they explore an alien world.
The series sequel began with the five-person family experiencing an attack to the spaceship they were on board with several other families, called the Resolute. They were evacuated and crash landed on a planet which resembled Earth. While there, the youngest Robinson befriended a robot with a simple name: The Robot.
The second season sees the family marooned on an ocean planet, forced to rely on Dr Smith and Don West in order to make an escape. To make matters worse, they don’t have their trusty Robot to hand as they attempt to travel to Alpha Centauri.
The new edition of Lost in Space has been created by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Speaking to IndieWire, they said of the series: ‘The journey matters a lot more than the destination.’
