Netflix has big plans for 2020 in the original films department. With previous successes including Roma at the Oscars and Golden Globe award winning Marriage Story, it’s clear that the streamer is a worthy contender in the industry.

This year, Netflix has managed to pick up several A-list stars for its upcoming productions. To be precise, names include Meryl Streep, Rachel McAdams, Gary Oldman, Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell. There are big names in the director list too, with those including Spike Lee, David Fincher, Ron Howard and Charlie Kaufman.

There will be 29 movies coming in 2020. Some we know about include Mank from David Fincher, which revolves around Citizen Kane and stars Charles Dance, Lily Collins, Gary Oldman and Amanda Seyfried.

Broadway hit musical The Prom will also be coming, directed by Ryan Murphy. It details the story of a teenager banned from attending prom with her girlfriend. Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and James Corden head to a Midwest town to rectify the situation.

Crip Camp is executive produced by Barack and Michelle Obama, and it starts a revolution among children with disabilities. There is also a rom-com called To All The Boys 2: P.S I Still Love You.
